Francis has had a fairly nomadic life from the age of 17 leaving his hometown of Penang, Malaysia for high school in England, going on to qualify and work as a Chartered Accountant.
London was where he deepened his love of photography - a hobby his father started him off on when, at age 7, he was given a basic camera, the AGFA Click 1, for Christmas. From those London days, he never went anywhere without a camera.
Worked in Malaysia for 2 years as Chief Accountant of a bank before taking on an exciting and challenging job for 5 years in Fiji overseeing 2 major hotels as well as Fiji's largest copra plantation.
Moved to Sydney to establish as a photographer, running a studio as well as a professional photo laboratory.
As a student and flat-sharing in London, he had to learn cooking skills and, as in his nature fell in love with food creation.
